Rich in vitamins, moisturizing, nourishing and revitalizing, Shea butter can deliver many benefits to your skin, hair and health. Shea butter benefits are almost countless,

Shea butter is rich in antioxidants, such as vitamins A and E, which help to protect the cells of your skin from free radicals, pollution and sun damage.

As well as re-hydrating and softening your skin, Shea butter also helps to restore and maintain skin elasticity. It contains ingredients that are essential for this, including vitamins A, E and F, it will help keep your skin looking supple and beautiful.

In the winter Shea butter can become a great alternative to commercial skin moisturizers and can protect your skin from harsh and windy weather, providing moisture, adding beautiful glow and softening your skin.

Shea butter has anti-inflammatory properties, owing it to some of the cinnamic acid derivatives it contains. Applied to inflamed areas of skin, it will soothe and calm the inflammation, as well as reduce the redness caused by acne, eczema, nappy rash and other skin damage.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is an edible oil that has been consumed in tropical places for thousands of years.

Due to the presence of saturated fats, coconut oil also retains the moisture content of the skin, as the fats eliminate moisture loss through the pores on skin.

The contributions of Vitamin E towards skin care are well known. Vitamin E is essential for healthy skin growth, repair of wear & tear on the skin, keeping skin smooth and protecting against cracking. Above all, it prevents premature aging and wrinkling of the skin, since it has good antioxidant properties.

Like coconuts themselves, coconut oil is rich in many proteins. These proteins keep skin healthy and rejuvenated, both internally and externally. Proteins also contribute to cellular health and tissue repair, along with a wide range of other essential activities within the body.

Olive Oil

In addition to being a natural, hypoallergenic way to moisturize skin, extra virgin olive oil has the added advantage of providing strong antioxidants, like Vitamins A and E that help repair and renew skin that has been damaged from overexposure to sun, air pollution, and other modern-day environmental hazards – like cigarette smoke and fast food. These antioxidants have the natural ability to stimulate cells and return skin to a firmer, smoother, and healthier state.

Olive oil has regenerative power over skin tissue and thus regular usage ensures that your skin remains soft and smooth while keeping it toned and firmed.

The antioxidants present in olive oil- hydroxytyrosol along with the vitamin E help in preventing cell degeneration in your skin, thus preventing premature ageing. The squalene present in this oil helps in increasing the elasticity of the skin thus preventing sagging of skin and leaving it firmly toned with youthful glow.

Grapeseed Oil

Extracted from seeds of grapeseseed oil contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, both of which are great for stopping acne. The oil also contains linoleic acid, which is great for promoting skin health.

Grapeseed oil has astringent qualities that help tighten skin and close up the pores, thus helping you avoid clogging that leads to pimples. Oily skin can especially benefit from this.

Grapeseed Oil offers a high linoleic acid (Omega 6) content with nourishing properties and quick penetration into the skin. It is known to be especially effective in repairing the sensitive skin around the eyes and in reducing the appearance of stretch marks. This oil is suitable for all skin types and will not aggravate acne due to its mild astringent properties.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba is a shrub that is grows in dry regions of northern Mexico and the southwestern US. Jojoba oil and wax are produced from the seeds and used for medicine.

Jojoba oil is unique in that, unlike most other vegetable oils, it closely resembles sebum, a waxy substance produced by our skin glands, so it can act as a natural skin conditioner.  It acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, soothing the irritated skin.
